Dragon Quest VIII has been my game of choice the last couple weeks. It's good old fashioned fun! But more importantly for this site, the first member of your party other than the hero is Yangus, a short, stocky man with a scar on his cheek and a spiked helmet.
He is, in a word, adorable.
He spends the game as your typical tank, with high HP and a good physical attack. He also speaks with an awesome Cockney accent.
Poor guy though, he suffers from low self-esteem due to his "ugly" appearance. Oh, Yangus. You are the hottest main character in the game.
Admittedly, not as hot as these random NPC's though. Or as I internally call them, the "S&M Muscle/Leather Daddies" who walk around every town with their minotaur helmets.
Ahem! Right. Back to Yangus.
He also gets points for being the least Toriyama-lookin' guy in the cast?
And his loyalty to the 'Guv is truly inspiring.
Equipped with only the 'boxer shorts' armor, I see . . .
