Bandage fetish?

Was rewatching some Berserk recently (because it's just that good) and noticed that Gatts/Gattsu/Gutts/Guts sure does get wrapped in medical bandages a lot. Of course, this always entails showing him without a shirt. So the audience can know just how badly he was wounded, of course!

Even kids gotta do it!
I guess when you're in a dangerous line of work like he is . . .
