Where SoupGoblin Went

Well.

It's been a while, huh?

Not just since the last update, I mean. Since I started this blog, way back in September, 2008. Holy cow! When I first started doing this I figured I'd post for a couple weeks, then drop it when I received no traffic. Instead, I kept chugging along for the better part of five years (with quite a few months of zero content along the way, granted). This thing represents a significant chunk of my adult life.

And what a blast it's been! So much of who I am today is thanks to this silly blog. I've made friends, adapted doujin, played games, watched and screencapped tons of anime I wouldn't have heard about otherwise, had a terrible internet relationship, had another terrible internet relationship, developed OCs, worked on my photoshop skills and my writing, roleplayed, stopped roleplaying, grew to hate my shitty job, read comics, explored my sexuality, became widely known as obsessed with spanking, and, I hope, put at ease a handful of horny perverted amazing homosexual geeks that no, your interests are not weird--well, maybe they are, but they're the kinky awesome kind of weird--and that there are others out there who share them.

I hope, at least, that that last one is true, because it's the one I'm most proud of. We all need our safe havens, and if there are none available we make our own. This one was mine.

But, I'm afraid that wonderful time is now officially coming to an end.

That probably will surprise no one, as updates have been few and far between for ages now (2013 only had 24 posts to it). But I just wanted to spare anyone the trouble of checking back here anymore. Unless things change drastically, this is gonna be the Stash's final post. Blogspot changed something within their infrastructure some time ago which my PC did not agree with, and it has made posting troublesome ever since. And honestly, even before that the format was pretty clunky.

But nah, it's more than that. My interests have shifted a bit, too. I just don't have time for those big long epic posts anymore, as awesome as they were. Tumblr is a lot easier for me. A couple clicks and some pithy comments and a post is done. And the ease of reblogging makes me feel like we're all sharing the load. I regularly update there. I hope anyone who still wants to follow me will make the shift over there, if they haven't already. :]

But um, before you do that.

I just wanted to say thank you.

To anyone who ever commented, or sent me an email, or expressed any interest at all, even if it was just to say "that's hot" or "you should post more of this". Thank you so much. You made it all worth it. And to the people who just clicked through for the porn and to watch me make a fool of myself, well, you all made it worth it, too. I'm not going to pretend this blog was life changing to anyone or anything, but I hope that some posts least brought a few smiles (maybe a few boners) and brightened a few days. That's all I was going for.
